Our Hunts

Hay Meadow Springs is not your average pheasant farm.  We offer a unique pheasant hunting experience right here in north central Wisconsin.  We are located in Merrill just minutes from Wausau and Rhinelander.  You'll find the same challenge as a wild bird hunt with the added variety and serenity of a beautifully managed preserve.  Here's how we do it:

The Best Birds

We keep our bird density low and our pheasant pens high. What does this mean?  Our flight conditioned birds really are great flyers.  You'll find no stronger flush than that of a Hay Meadow pheasant.

The Best Cover

You'll notice our diversity in cover, from milo, corn and sunflowers to hay and native grasses.  We can custom fit a hunt to your dog's ability.  We have mowed trails along cover edges for an easy traverse.  Our cover stands strong throughout the entire season.

Hay Meadow Springs Pheasant Preserve is centrally located between Wausau, Rhinelander, Tomahawk and Antigo, Wisconsin.  Open for hunting beginning September 1st.
